About Us

WeVote Canada is an independent, non-partisan civic organization operating in Canada.

We were founded to address the growing gap between public decision-making and meaningful citizen participation.

Our work focuses on democratic accountability, civic education, and responsible public engagement.

WeVote’s Role

WeVote is not a political party, advocacy campaign, or protest organization.

WeVote functions as a civic infrastructure provider.

Our role is to support citizens who wish to participate responsibly in public decision-making by reducing the structural, informational, and organizational barriers they face.

This includes:

  • Providing shared organizational tools
  • Offering guidance on civic processes
  • Supporting coordination and communication
  • Helping communities navigate complex institutional procedures

WeVote does not speak on behalf of citizens.

We help citizens speak for themselves — more effectively, sustainably, and responsibly.

By strengthening civic infrastructure, WeVote enables participation that is informed, lawful, and compatible with everyday life.

Vision

A society in which public power remains continuously accountable to citizens, communities are treated with seriousness and respect, and democracy is sustained through active public participation.

Mission

WeVote’s mission is to organize citizens, strengthen public participation, and promote democratic accountability by supporting transparent, responsible, and community-informed public decision-making.

We serve residents, voters, and community members by providing platforms for civic understanding, engagement, and oversight beyond election cycles.

WeVote operates independently and without partisan affiliation.
